This week the St. Marys Rotary Club visited and toured the Outdoor Classroom at St. Marys Area Middle School. Pictured is Wayne Fordoski, Dave Fordoski, Rotarian Sue Lepovetsky (Program Chair), Club President Greg Snelick, Rotarian Betty Kruger and Gary Kruger. Wayne and Dave spoke to the group about the Outdoor Classroom, and feilded questions from the members. The evening meal was catered by Gary and Betty Kruger. A very enjoyable evening for everyone who attended.
Recently the St. Marys Rotary Club funded Flag Poles, Landscaping, and a Memorial Stone at Benzinger Park. The project was done surrounding the Scoreboard which was funded by the Sheetz Corporation. The beautiful stone was installed by St. Marys Monuments, and the landscaping was done by West Creek Nursery.
The memorial stone is "DEDICATED TO ALL ROTARIANS PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE". An official dedication ceremony will be planned for Spring 2017. The St. Marys Rotary Club has served the community of St. Marys and former Benzinger Township since 1950. The Rotary Foundation which is part of Rotary International was founded in 1917 and is celebrating its 100th anniversary this Rotary year.
